Retirement was great. So much for retirement.
Deb and I retired at the start of 2014. We sold the Massachusetts real estate company we founded, Four Columns Realty, to Paul Riendeau, our top broker. I closed my law practice. We moved to the western mountains of Maine and began our new retired life.
Funny thing about real estate. It stays in your blood. Once you connect with it, it doesn’t let you go.
A few days ago, I became a Maine Real Estate Broker. I joined the team at the Maine Real Estate Network and signed up with the Kennebec Valley Board of Realtors®.
The Maine Real Estate Network is no ordinary agency. It is Maine’s biggest, and arguably best, real estate company, 100% Maine owned and independent, with state of the art technology and great support.
I like the owner and I like the agents I’ve met there.

Here is what I would say to my Massachusetts friends:
Maine really is the Way Life Should Be. Maine has friendly people, clean air, scenic beauty and reasonable home prices. Come on up!
Here is what I would say to my Maine friends:
Does the process of buying or selling a home in Maine mystify you? Maybe my four decades of real estate experience can help you. Let’s talk.
Here is what I would say to my long-time Massachusetts real estate colleagues:
Send me your Maine referrals and I will treat them with the same care and attention you have always known.
Here is what I would say to my new Maine real estate colleagues:
It feels good to be back in real estate. I hope we have an opportunity to work together soon.
